Correct the source before translation

Translation uses the editable source text, so fixing a misread character can change the result. Review proper names, product codes, prices, dates and punctuation carefully.

Yes. The source text is editable. Correcting it before translation can improve names, numbers, abbreviations and sentences that OCR read incorrectly.
Clear handwriting may be recognized, but printed text is more reliable. Poor lighting, cursive writing and overlapping lines can reduce OCR and translation accuracy.
